Princeton Review To Offer New Delhi Students Preparation for College and Graduate School Entrance Exams

New York, NY Feb. 3, 2003 -- The Princeton Review announced today that its latest international franchise, offering test preparation and admissions services for college and graduate schools, is scheduled to open in New Delhi, India in the spring of 2003. Internationally, the Princeton Review offers test preparation and college admissions services in 25 centers in 16 countries on four continents. The Princeton Review and its franchisees also operate test preparation classes in 1100 locations in 40 states throughout the U.S.

“We are excited to bring The Princeton Review’s proven test-taking strategies to students in New Delhi,” said John Katzman, CEO and company founder. “International students feel even more stress than their American counterparts in competing for places at U.S. college and graduate school programs. Our test preparation programs will help open the doors to American higher education to more students from India, as well as enable our company to continue to grow its presence in the international marketplace."

The Princeton Review’s licensing agreement has been granted to the Manya partnership of India, which covers Princeton Review franchises throughout India, excluding the western region. A Mumbai Princeton Review office, owned by Mrs. Sara Beattie, has been open since May 2002.

Ms. Aradhana Khaitan Mahna owns and manages the Manya partnership. “The future lies in the global education of our students. As we move towards a more interconnected economy, it becomes increasingly important for young people to use their university education as a time to learn about and experience other cultures as they perfect their international business, scientific and academic skills,” said Ms. Khaitan Mahna.

Ms. Khaitan Mahna will operate the New Delhi office with her sister Nidhi Khaitan. Ms. Khaitan Mahna is a graduate of the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. She is from the Salora Group of Companies, one of India's leading electronic and education corporations. Prior to Salora, Ms. Khaitan Mahna was an analyst with Accenture, working on several key projects throughout India.
